Memorial Day Flags

It’s What We Do.

Flags for Fort Snelling was born with the mission to continue the tradition of honoring our Veterans on Memorial Day by placing flags at their headstones. The Fort Snelling National Cemetery is operated by the Veterans Administration with a limited number of civilian staff, thus do not have the funding or assistance to provide a flag for almost 200,000 graves.

Flags For Fort Snelling Website Design

FFFS’s Website Design began with a need for new content development. Starting with the development of a fresh brand style that spoke to the operators, VantagePoint began with a new logo. With the new style direction defined, the website layout was created with room to grow as the company grows. The plan to build on the content over time to saves on cost and prevents design progress.

Flags For Fort Snelling Comments

“Ft Snelling is a sacred place full of men and women we can never truly thank enough. Driving through the gates today and seeing all of the flags was breath stopping. Thank you!”

Jeanie T.

“Kudos to all of you organizers. It was amazing! The first year on a new system and it was so very well done! It shows the difference one or two people can make….to have come so far in so few years. It also makes me feel so thankful to be surrounded by such a diverse group of people coming together on something we all agree on. It makes me hopeful for our future. Thank you for all your hard work behind the scenes making it work. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

Nancy

“Thank you to the Veteran who while placing a flag at my Grandfather’s grave, also put a shiny penny atop his gravestone (and so many others). Thank you for your service and for volunteering at Fort Snelling.”

Jill M.

“This group…..these amazing people….. there are no words to express the feeling of pride, love, honor, and thankfulness when you go into fort Snelling and see a flag one every site! To know that there are people willing to show this much respect and give this much time to families they have never met is heartwarming. I say a huge thank you to every volunteer and every person that is part of this group. You will never know the importance of what you do and how much it means to so many!”

Danielle H.

“I received an email today showing the flag placed at my father’s gravesite. Brought tears to my eyes. My family always gives him one, but it is extra special that he and every other person receives one. Thank you to everyone that made this possible…I will be doing my part on Monday. #flagsforfortsnelling”
