The week before Thanksgiving 2018, Rocky (age 37), was diagnosed with Stage 3C Ovarian Cancer. After an extensive surgery that included a full hysterectomy, omentumectomy, and apendectomy, tests showed her cancer to be aggressively spreading. Having spread to the lining of the lungs and a majority of her abdomen up to her collar bone, Rocky’s cancer was re-staged as Stage 4 Fallopian Cancer.
Rocky is a single mother of an incredible daughter, Emma (age 14), and also provides a home and support for her youngest brother, Conor (age 18). They both are excelling at Blaine High School and keep busy while Rocky focuses on her fight. Rocky is undergoing a hefty chemo treatment plan, and though she’s already had a few medical bumps in the road, is very optimistic for her outcome.
If you are interested in donating to Rocky’s fight, every dollar helps ease the financial stress of added medical bills and insurance premiums for additional treatments. If you’d rather help by whipping up a delicious meal for the family, please check out the Meal Train and sign-up at your convenience. These meals are dropped in a cooler provided at her front door and make a huge difference.
Every DOLLAR, every MEAL, and every POSITIVE NOTE makes a difference to Rocky and her family!
